BETWEEN LINES is a solo exhibition by featuring recent works by Abiola Idowu. The artist encourages us to look at all things more closely so that we can really see them. He reminds us that what we see first isn’t always what we should choose to see last. In a city as culturally diverse as Brampton, it's is to our benefit to recognise the value gained by variety.
The artist uses lines and colours to delineate like a map, creating bold geometry. He hopes onlookers will see beyond the striking lines to what is between. This is the place where we find comfort. It's where we see evidence that we have more in common with our neighbours, than differences.
Strength in difference. Comfort in commonalities.
Abiola Idowu invites you to enjoy his solo exhibition Between Lines and encourages you to share your thoughts and experiences about diversity and explore ways to build communities in the space between lines.
